Fiber Optic CameraLink Cables
Operate CameraLink cameras up to
500 meters from the processor with HanVision's CLiMAX fiber optic CameraLink
cables.
The CLiMAX Fiber Optic CameraLink cable
permits the separation between a camera and a framegrabber to be
extended far beyond the usual distance allowed by copper CameraLink
cables. With copper cables, the maximum distance is limited to 10
meters due to the signal characteristics of the LVDS drivers and
receivers used in CameraLink communications. With the CLiMAX
fiber optic cable, the distance can be increased to as much as 500
meters without loss of signal.
Features:
-
2 x 8 or
10-bit CameraLink Base configuration
-
Cable lengths
from 20 to 500 meters
-
Supports pixel
clock rates to 45 MHz
-
Works with
area and line scan cameras
-
Requires no
channel modifications
-
Simple DC
power requirement
- Compact,
low-power translation electronics

CLiMAX cables use the latest
telecommunications technologies to assure accurate, reliable
transfer of data. The emitters are high-performance infrared VCSEL
diodes capable of gigabit data rates and the receivers are
high-speed GaAs photodiodes. The optical signals are transmitted
via multi-strand, multimode glass fiber to assure data fidelity at
the maximum operating distance.
CLiMAX cables have been tested with
many brands of cameras and Matrox frame grabbers to assure fast,
trouble-free installation.
